...find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us. and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 ESV

Status Quo on the Home Front
Hope all is well with you our family and friends.
Fortunately, I haven't had to give any updates because we are maintaining the status quo. Brent was able to give announcements on Sunday at church and publicly thank the NorthCreek Church congregation for the prayers and support in so many ways.
Brent has successfully been performing dialysis at home now and the "drain pain" on most days is tolerable although some days are just much more difficult than others. Poor guy. His kidney function is maintaining at 8%. Kidney function does not improve and the kidney's do not regenerate, so whatever we can do to maintain their function is very important, such as dialysis and proper diet and nutrition.
As Brent mentioned on Sunday we literally cannot walk 20 feet on the NorthCreek Church campus without somebody asking how Brent is doing. We are so thankful for your prayers and concern.
Our UCSF transplant team is pursuing three candidates at this time. We wait prayerfully as we are humbled by such a gift and grateful for each candidate's willingness to make such a sacrifice for Brent's life.
In the next month, Brent has a few travel days coming so we will see how it goes traveling with our new friend, Baxter, (that's what we named Brent's dialysis machine) and supplies through TSA and the airlines.
Thanks again for all of your concern, questions, and most importantly prayers. I was speaking with a friend recently and being reminded how Jesus tells us in John 16:33 that we are to expect trials in this life on Earth. But we take great comfort in His words; "Take heart, I have overcome the world." This place is not our home. To be with Christ in heaven is our home which is why only in Christ is He our perfect peace.
Faith, Grace & Blessings.
